2024 Color Tour |
For once, the weather gods smiled upon us for our color tour! It was a cool but sunny (and dry) day on October 12 for our annual color tour. We met at Fricano's on Alpine
and then toured through Grant where we stopped at Nelson's Farm Market. After that we made our way to the White River Dam in Hesperia then on to Smuggler's at North Shore on
Hess Lake near Newaygo where we had lunch. |

2024 Summer Picnic - 50th Anniversary Celebration |
---|
Just shy of 30 people attended the 50th Anniversary celebration of the West Michigan Corvair Club on July 20. It was held at Fallasburg Park in Lowell. Fallasburg Park was purposely picked as
our first club picnic was held there in 1974. It was a very warm day so most of us just sat in the shade and socialized. A few did try their hand at cornhole however. The club provided most of the
food, including a 50th Anniversary cake, and a few people brought some tasty side dishes. Even though he was not able to attend, Ryan Counterman did smoke some pork for us to enjoy along with some of
his homemade sauces. Thank you, Ryan! We also welcomed Scott and Heather Olivier back from Tennessee! Below are a few pictures from the picnic (taken by Dave Ziebarth except where noted). |

and a brief membership meeting before viewing the collection of cars. |

2024 Zoup Off |
The annual Zoup Off was held on February 17 in the community room at Rockford Ambulance. We had twelve soups and seven desserts to judge. Dave & Marilyn Dykwell won both best soup and best dessert.
A clean sweep! Our entertainment was a Pinewood Derby. The winner of the adult division was Matt Peterson and the winner of the youth division was Leo Zerilli. Thank you to John Cole for getting the track,
setting it up, and running the event. |
