For you folks that didn't make it to Bennington, which was most of you, you missed a beautiful day, weatherwise. Harold Basset showed with his 62 coupe. There were a total of 5 Corvairs in the show. Walt & Jean Newell were in the swap meet area trying to make a buck.

October 7 will be the date for our annual foliage tour. We will again meet at the McDonalds at exit 18 of the Northway I 87, at 10 AM. We will try to leave there at 10:30 AM, and travel east and north to Ticonderoga, by a different route, and wind up at the same restaurant for lunch, about 2 PM or 2:30.

Please email Walt Newell or Peter Callesano,, or call Walt at 793-9383 or Peter at 584-9306, if you plan to come along. I need to give the restaurant a close total of diners. Please come along even if your Corvair is not running. Drive that water pumper.

The gathering of old cars at Mills Mansion is still going on Oct. 21.
